Departure for Beijing
After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, including the Treasure Gallery. As a building with a long history, Tiananmen Square was not only the main entrance to the imperial city of Beijing under the Ming and Qing dynasties but also the symbol of China. The Forbidden City, also renowned as the largest ancient palace in the world, was the royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987 and represents the largest imperial palace complex in the world. The long history has left here large-scale precious buildings and countless cultural relics. Originally built as a ceremony venue for emperors in the 15th century, the Temple of Heaven now serves as a gathering place for musicians, dancers, and local enthusiasts of various martial arts and leisure activities.

After breakfast, drive to the Great Wall of China, one of the most famous structures worldwide. We will visit the Mutianyu section, one of the most popular sections of the Great Wall for several reasons. Simultaneously, as one of Beijing’s 16 scenic spots, it boasts a very well-organized facility. Then, return to the outside of the Water Cube and Bird’s Nest. The Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube are two famous buildings in Beijing, China, and are also among the main venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

After breakfast, visit the Summer Palace, which is a masterpiece of Chinese garden landscape art. It integrates the natural landscape of hills and bodies of water with human-made elements such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples, and bridges, to create a harmonious and exceptional ensemble from an aesthetic perspective. It is a very large and comprehensive royal garden in China, with a very elegant landscape and many precious cultural relics, known as the “Royal Garden Museum.”
After that, take the high-speed train to the ancient city – Xi’an.

The Terracotta Army, known as the Eighth Wonder of the World and officially the Museum of the Mausoleum of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang, is an absolutely must-visit site for any visitor to Xi’an. Now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the site attracts millions of visitors each year and besides the immense terracotta army, it houses tombs belonging to real individuals. The Great Mosque, located in the city center, is the largest and one of the most important Islamic places of worship in China. The Great Mosque was added to the UNESCO Islamic Heritage List in 1985.

After breakfast, head to the Xi’an Museum. The Xi’an Museum is located in the Jianfu Temple. Through the thematic exhibition “Ancient Xi’an” in the courtyard, you can learn more about the millennium-old history of Xi’an and the history of the capital’s development. The Great Wild Goose Pagoda is one of China’s most famous Buddhist structures due to its religious and historical significance. The pagoda is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a stop on the ancient Silk Road. DaTang BuYeCheng offers a festive atmosphere combining traditional, ethnic, and rock music.

After breakfast, visit the Xi’an City Wall, which is an iconic landscape of the ancient capital of Xi’an and one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China to this day. Then, transfer to Yongxingfang, a dynamic cultural center that was the residence of Prime Minister Wei Zheng. Here, you can taste local specialties and admire the ancient buildings.

After breakfast, take the high-speed train to Zhenjiangguan Pass,then head for the picturesque Huanglong site. There are many colorful pools in the ditch, which change color with the changing landscape and angle of the sunlight; arrive in Jiuzhaigou in the evening and check into the hotel to rest.

Jiuzhaigou is a valley with a depth of over 50 km and a total area of 650.74 square kilometers. It is named so because there are nine Tibetan villages in the valley, such as Shuzheng, Lotus Leaf, and Zechawa, which are located amidst this group of alpine lakes. In 2009, the Nuorilang waterfall, with a width of 320 meters, was selected as the largest waterfall in China by the China World Records Association. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992, Jiuzhaigou Valley harbors a rich ecosystem.

After breakfast, take the high-speed train back to Chengdu. In the afternoon, head for Qingyang Palace, built under the Tang (618-907) and renovated under the Qing (1644-1911). It is one of the most important Taoist temples in Southwest China.

After breakfast drive to Wolong for the pandas. Then we’ll visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation System,built in 256 BC to control flooding of the Minjiang River and use it for irrigation, the scientist Li Bing, the initiator of world hydraulic culture, who built the hydraulic structure. It is characterized by its age and the absence of water diversion from dams.

After breakfast, drive to the cradle of the ancient Shu civilization, the Sanxingdui Museum.and then back to Chengdu to visit Les allées Large and Étroite, two restored ancient alleyways. After dinner, enjoy Sichuan Opera‘s specialty: face-changing.

After breakfast, head to the historic town of Huanglongxi, which is an ancient town with a long history and unique culture. The town was founded during the Tang Dynasty and has a history of over 1,200 years. The Grand Buddha is a seated statue of the Maitreya Buddha, standing at 71 meters tall, and is the largest cliff stone sculpture statue in China.

After breakfast, we visit Wuhou temple, built in the 6th century in honor of Zhuge Liang, the famous military and political strategist of the Shu state during the Three Kingdoms period (221 – 589).
After lunch, the guide will take you to Tianfu airport for your transfer to Beijing.
