Morning | Climbing Fort Saint-Louis
Marigot unfolds at the foot of a hill facing the sea, atop which the historic Fort Saint-Louis overlooks the bay. The ascent involves a path beside Saint-Martin-de-Tours church, a hillside climb, and steep stairs. At the summit, explore the ruins of this 1789 fort, restored in 1993, offering panoramic views of Marigot Bay, Anguilla, and more, with unforgettable sunsets during a 7-day Saint-Martin itinerary.

Noon | Lunch at Tropicana
Tropicana, located on Marina Royale in Marigot, serves French cuisine with fresh, quality ingredients on a terrace overlooking the marina. Save room for exquisite desserts.

Address: Le Tropicana, Sandy Ground Street, Marina Royale, Marigot 97150, Saint Martin

Afternoon | Strolling through Marigot in Search of Street Art
A coastal walk borders the waterfront in Marigot. It runs along the circular marina of Fort Louis, then the ferry terminal around which several “lolos” are based. These are traditional Creole food restaurants, including the well-known “Chez Coco” which stands proudly in the market square. With plastic tables and oilcloth coverings, it is in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that you can sit down to enjoy the best colombo, fish blaff, fried conch, or Creole dishes accompanied by rice and peas or plantain bananas.

If curiosity still calls after these spicy delights, you can continue walking along the waterfront and spot street art by the Saint Martin-based collective Wall Art, as well as Guadeloupean artists MaShin’Art and Jimmy Sheik, who are gradually dressing the walls of Marigot in a thousand colors.

Morning | Sunrise at Orient Bay
· Description: Often called the “Saint-Tropez of the Caribbean,” Orient Bay is known for its vibrant atmosphere day and night, with beach bars like Kontiki and Bikini hosting lively DJ sets. Mornings offer a quieter time, perfect for watching the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean.

· Activities: Relax or engage in water sports like jet skiing or parasailing. Kayak to the nearby uninhabited Green Cay for a more secluded experience.

Noon | Lunch Options
· La Trattoria: Enjoy modern Italian cuisine with a touch of local seafood.
· L’Atelier: Features global meats and fresh local fish, complemented by an international wine list.
· Le Télégraphe: Dine on international and Caribbean dishes on the terrace, ideal for a pre-lunch drink.
· L’Astrolabe: Offers regional French cuisine with exotic touches by the poolside.
· Le Bikini: Beachfront dining ideal for a meal with your feet in the sand and stunning ocean views.

Afternoon | Searching for “Lover’s Beach”
· Exploration: With nearly 37 beaches, famous spots include Orient Bay, Grand-Case, and Mullet Bay. For a more intimate experience, discover Petites Cayes in the north or Lover’s Beach near Anse des Pères, accessible via a short coastal walk from Galisbay port.
· Lover’s Beach: A secluded and romantic spot perfect for couples looking for a quiet place to etch their initials in the rock away from the crowds.

This day beautifully combines relaxation on stunning beaches, culinary discovery, and adventures in lesser-known spots of Saint-Martin.

Morning | Hiking the Sentier des Froussards Saint-Martin is crisscrossed with trails that explore its terrain. The “Sentier des Froussards” is a coastal hike that skirts the Red Rock site and connects Anse Marcel to Grandes Cayes Beach. Spanning 4.5 kilometers through an untouched forest, it requires good hiking gear and takes about three hours, offering unique views of the nature reserve it passes through, home to 182 plant species and 25 animal species.

Evening | Watching the Sunset
At sunset, head to the west-facing coasts to watch the sun dip below the horizon. A short and easy walk connects Anse Des Pères to the port of Galisbay, offering beautiful views of the western part of Saint Martin. At the far end of the island, the large and less frequented beach of Baie aux Prunes is also an ideal spot to admire the sun setting into the Caribbean Sea. This is a must-do when visiting Saint Martin for a week.

For a trendy alternative, head to the Grand Case Beach Club, one of the island’s most popular hotels, and its restaurant, the Sunset Café. This spot is ideal for dining outdoors, facing the sea and enjoying the sound of the waves.

Morning | Walking on Îlet Tintamarre
Facing the northern tip of Saint-Martin, Îlet Tintamarre is a wild piece of land within a nature reserve. It’s accessible by private boat or traditional Antillean fishing boats from Cul-de-Sac, offering deserted beaches and trails that lead to the remnants of a railway and an old airfield.

Afternoon | Relaxing at Îlet Pinel’s Yellow Beach
Îlet Pinel is smaller and busier, known for Yellow Beach where you can lunch under thatched roofs. The island also offers secluded paths and a peaceful, north-facing beach, ideal for tranquil relaxation. Hats and sunscreen are recommended on these shadeless islets.

Morning | Climbing to the Top of Pic Paradis
At 424 meters, Pic Paradis is the highest point on Saint-Martin. The ascent begins from the village of Rambaud through lush vegetation to a small parking area, followed by a 20-minute hike to the summit. Alternatively, start from Loterie Farm, a former sugar plantation turned into a private nature reserve with a bar-restaurant and a spring water pool. The total hike takes about three hours, with some steep sections. The panoramic view from the top encompasses the entire island and even neighboring islands on the horizon.

Afternoon | Visiting Amuseum Naturalis
This small museum, located in an old colonial house in Quartier d’Orléans, offers insights into Saint-Martin’s culture and nature, including endemic species and traditional construction techniques that charm the local architecture. A botanical garden illustrates how the fauna has adapted to the island’s climate. A section also covers Caribbean herbal medicine, providing a comprehensive and enriching visit to understand Saint-Martin better.

Morning | Experience the Thrill of the Flying Dutchman
In the Dutch part of Saint-Martin, Rainforest Adventures offers exciting activities. The Sky Explorer chairlift reaches the top of Sentry Hill for a 360° view. A giant slide allows you to rush down on tubes. The most thrilling attraction is the zipline known as the Flying Dutchman. Seated in a harness, you zip down 853 meters of cable at speeds of up to 56 km/h, making it the steepest zipline in the world.

Afternoon | Marvel at Underwater Wonders
Great snorkeling spots are accessible from the shores of Mullet Bay or Dawn Beach, though currents require caution. More secluded dive sites, accessible only by scuba diving, include the wreck of the HMS Proselyte, a 32-gun Royal Navy frigate that sank in 1801 after hitting a reef.

After returning the rental car, we head to the airport to conclude our trip.
